Hi there, between my accounts on DA I had been there for about four years, in that time I'd seen a lot of things change but it just really bothered me to see them jack the price up on "Core" membership. I decided, with my membership soon to run out, that I would try to find a new site that was similar to DA and I was lucky enough to find ArtRift. So far I am really pleased with this place and love the art that I am seeing.
I don't really have a style or anything yet, but I hope to find the confidence to try and post some of it here.
Also not too sure if I should post my stuff from DA, as it's like little adoptables I bought and Cinnadogs I did headshots of. Nothing too crazy or amazing lol.

Hello there ^_^ !

I'm also here from DA. I was getting tired of all the stuff going on there as well. This site seems a lot calmer and cleaner Smile , though it's gonna take some getting used to...

Hi I'm from dA as well! While it is sad for my internet home to be going downhill (especially when I was thinking of trying to make some sort of part time job out of it) I'm starting to check out other art websites and came across artrift :3 I actually just made my account like minutes ago so it's still under construction XD

I am glad other people from DA are finding this site as well! It certainly does seem a lot calmer and I love how pretty it is when you need to log on x3 I still have slight issues navigating myself around but I'm figuring it all out.

Quite a few people I was watching had made a full time job out of it but I hope they find even better sites to fit their needs, as I feel like DA is going to come to an end if they keep it up. It's been around for so long I'd like to see that not happen but it's hard to say if they piss enough people off.

My profile is in shambles haha I'm not off a lot from work so my days off are pretty crazy

Hey I'm here too from DA. I'm still kinda debating if I'm going to leave the site but its looking like a strong possibility. I joined the site way back in 2004 so I've had a very long history with it. In recent years they've just done more and more crap that just spells out they don't care about the community there at all so I rather no longer give them any type of money or publicity by staying. I hope to meet folks here and stuff. Honestly I hope to get more active on a few art sites I already use because I want other better communities to rise from the ashes of that website so people don't feel obligated to stay in the fire pit in which it has become lol.

Hello there!

I'm also here from DeviantArt. I never had a Core Membership, though... And somehow I didn't manage to really ''join'' the community in DA. (It's been a year now since I entered)
All I really want are a few fellow artists to exchange experience and to have fun.
I hope this will work better with Artrift.

Have a nice day! (:

I'm also a brand new runaway from dA. I'm a little behind, so I only JUST checked the prices for a new "core" membership and... woof.
No thank you. I like supporting webpages that support their users. (They don't fight art theft anymore?!)
I'll probably keep my account on dA until it dies off, since I do commissions there... But the format of this site is very attractive and well... I really wanted to make friends on dA and that never happened. It was just too big.
I think this might be the safe haven all of us were looking for.

Good Day.

I'm also a user from DeviantArt who just became a new Rifter.

The reason I came to this site is for the sole purpose that I was trying to find an art website like DA. That and to get away from the negative drama which I feel always happens on a day to day basis with artists.

I hope you enjoy your time here. Smile

Well, Artrift is a kind young site we've always tried to keep things friendly and tidy around here. I created this site 6 years ago because I felt exactly the same as all of you do. We're a family here and I bet you won't find a friendlier community out there Grin

We've had our fair share of people uploading furry stuff and other really dodgy stuff. We don't cater for that kind of stuff here. AND WE WILL NEVER.

Artrift will NOT become DA 2.0 because I left DA for the same reasons you all did. Grin
